Iron-on film Flex, flock film

IRONING INSTRUCTIONS

You need
Iron with functioning temperature control:
If the temperature is too hot the film can melt!
If the temperature is too low, the motif will not stick.

A hard and heat-resistant surface for ironing (ceramic hob).
An ironing board is too soft.

1. WASH
The new or used textile to be printed must first be washed and ironed without fabric softener.

2. CUT AND TRY
Roughly cut test points off the motif with scissors (cut through the transparent film, leaving a border of approx. 2 to 5 mm).
If necessary, and to separate the motifs, roughly cut them. Many film manufacturers recommend applying
on textiles a transfer press. Therefore, please use the dots first to iron on the inside of the fabric
(e.g. sleeves) to try out!

3. PLACE
Place the textile or shirt on the fabric without any creases. Place the iron-on motif in the desired location. It should lie flat and not on a seam or similar. The motif should also be at least
4 cm distance from the next seam (otherwise there will be too little pressure on the iron-on motif). The transparent protective film must face up. Now place
the baking paper over the motif. If the fabric is very thin or you want to conceal holes, place some baking paper under the fabric as well.
(so that the iron-on motif does not stick to the other side)

4. Heat up the iron
Set the iron to 2.5 points and no steam. (Follow the ironing instructions for the fabric.)

5. Press the iron
Press the iron firmly onto the covered iron-on image for 10 seconds. Avoid back-and-forth ironing, as this could cause the iron to shift. Press the corners and points firmly. Now move the iron to the other side and press again for another 10 seconds, ensuring sufficient pressure and heat are applied to every part of the iron-on image. To avoid burning, wait about 4 seconds between each move.
Repeat the pressing and cooling process until each part of the motif has been pressed two or three times.

6. LET COOL DOWN
Let everything cool for 3 minutes. The 3-minute cooling time must be observed, as otherwise adhesive residue may remain on the velour motif. Only these films should be removed after a 1-minute cooling time: flex film (e.g., glitter film).
Please follow the cooling time

7. Peel off protective film
Now, very carefully peel off the transparent protective film. Do this in the direction of the fabric fibers (this prevents the motif or fabric from warping). If the motif doesn't stick, you can read about carefully ironing it.
For multi-part designs, NOW iron on the next motif pieces according to steps 5 to 7. The already ironed-on pieces must be covered with baking paper.

8. FIX
Now cover the iron-on motif again with the baking paper and iron for 25 to 30 seconds (using the same temperature setting as before). Don't stay in one spot for too long. Press firmly with the iron repeatedly (especially on the corners and points of the motif).

9. LET IT REST
Let the textile rest for at least 24 hours so that the hot melt adhesive of the iron-on motif
It can be optimally combined with clothing. Only then should you wear or wash it.

NOTE on iron-on transfers made of FLEX FILM:
The foil may become wavy when ironed on. This will settle down after cooling.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Children under 3 years: The iron-on design may become brittle or tear due to improper use (e.g., frequent tearing, stretching, frequent sucking, or biting of the T-shirt) and/or improper care (follow washing instructions). Small pieces could become detached and be swallowed or enter the child's respiratory tract.
Please change your clothing beforehand!
The iron-on motifs must not be ironed onto toys for children under 3 years of age,
such as play blankets, cuddly cloths, pacifier cloths, crawling blankets and the like.

Ironing must be done by an adult.
Do not touch the newly ironed-on transfers. Let them cool down before touching them. Also refer to the iron's instruction manual.
Please follow the ironing instructions carefully to ensure secure and permanent anchoring of the iron-on motif. This product is designed for private use and is not suitable for commercial purposes.
The films used meet high quality standards and are manufactured in Europe. Application with a heat press: 155° to 165°, 17 to 20 seconds, medium pressure (3.5 bar), pre-press the textile.
A repressing time of approximately 2 seconds is recommended. Information without guarantee; application tests on original materials must be conducted.

CARE and WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Washable at temperatures up to 60°C. Optimal durability is achieved with a mild detergent. Turn the fabric inside out before washing and follow the sewn-in washing instructions. Iron only inside out, preferably without steam. Flock (velour) film can also be carefully ironed over. Do not tumble dry (the design may become brittle), do not dry clean, and do not bleach.
